Acute lower back pain on one side, what is wrong?

Acute lower back pain on one side, what is wrong?4 Days ago I was working on my car and gradually I began having back pain, I decided it wasn't anything to worry about since I'm young and the pain should have gone away the next day. I woke up the next day pain free and went for a run. Towards the end of my run, the pain began to bother me again. 4 days have passed and I'm still experiencing pain, it has gradually gotten better, but is still there. So the pain is in my lower back on my right side, it's a sharp pain, and bothers me when I put pressure on my right leg. What exercises could I do for this and how long should I expect it to last? Pain level is about 3 out of 10 now

If it hurts on one side sounds like a pinched nerve. Use ICE/gel pack on the sore are fo 10-15 minutes for few times. When nerve is pinched it swells and the ice help reduce the swelling and nerve most of the time will be released. Take it easy for a while, let it heal.
