If you have bad back pain while pregnant does it mean you will have back labor?I was just wondering if because I have been having back pain the past couple days if that means I will have back labor?
A while back when I was kept over night at the hospital due to preterm labor and I had some back pain then.
Could that mean that I'm going to have back labor?
Or is it a 50/50 chance no matter whats going on now?

there is no study to suggest you will have back labour im affraid, my first child was facing the wrong way so what they call spine to spine, with every contraction i felt only on my back and it wasnt nice let me tell you, was told its worse than normal labour but im not sure lol my second child was stomach labour, i didnt get back pain during my pregnancie but it has been known if yuou suffer generally with back problems it might make it sore on your back during labour. i would convince yourself of what labour your going to have just see what happens

No, back pain during pregnancy doesn't neccessarily mean back labor. I have back pain with all my pregnancies (sciatic nerve pain with my first child) and I didn't have back labor with either of my first two. It depends on the position of the baby while you are in labor.
