Does this sound like irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)? Back Pain/Leg Pain/Abdominal Pain/Cramping?

Does this sound like irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)? Back Pain/Leg Pain/Abdominal Pain/Cramping?I am a 26 year old female. About 3 months ago, I started having left sided low abdominal pain and cramping pain (a couple inches below the belly button and to the left). It is accompanied with a low back ache and the same ache/crampy feeling goes into my left hip/leg area. I had a CT scan and pelvic ultrasound which showed ovarian cysts but my gyn doctor says the pain has nothing to do with those and they are normal.
I went to my gastrointestinal doctor and she said since I had a colonoscopy 6 months earlier, there was nothing wrong with my colon and diagnosed me with IBS. Does this sound like the typical symptoms? I have had a long history of constipation but nothing in that area has changed for years, its always stayed about the same. Thanks for any help or advice.

I have IBS myself. Yes these are symptoms of IBS. It is different for everyone and I have heard of a few cases indicating pain other places besides abdominal and back. If you have had problems with constipation for that long you definitely have IBS.
I myself have never found anything much more effective (in managing IBS) than modifying my diet. I've heard that probiotics are good, (Haven't tried them yet) and you can get them at any health food store.
