I have a pain in my lower back I believe its strained. Any exercises or stretches I can do to help it?Ive had lower back pain on and off for about 2 years now which I'm 99% sure are being caused by doing round kicks in karate. It was on my right side for a while and now its on my left. If I take it easy for a few weeks it usually goes away, but then comes back once I start kicking hard again. I was just wondering if anyone knew of any exercises or stretches that would help. Serious answerers only please.

seriously, you can have a million & one causes for the discomfort in your back;; unfortunately, given the wrong exercises for your condition CAN cause more disruption;; ya GOTTA know the diagnosis before ya start playing with the back, simply cuz your function revolves around what you do to your trunk..good luck, but ya NEED a doc to check ya out; can be anything from degeneration, to disc, to tissue involvement, to muscle integrity...all different exercises & stretches for each condition..none should 'hurt'...good luck, but doc needed...
