Tips on relieving back pain while pregnant?

Tips on relieving back pain while pregnant?I'm 36 weeks pregnant and my back pain is unbearable. My husband massages my back, but it only helps for a short period of time. Tylenol just doesn't work. Any other remedies I could try?

IcyHot cream works great for me.

You could try chiropractic care or a professional massage, both of those help me tremendously. I also really think doing prenatal yoga is really beneficial, I don't know that I would start that regimen if you are already 36 weeks though but it is something to consider for the future. Also, warm (not hot) baths work pretty well as do the heat patches (like Thermacare) that you stick on your back. Usually if I stick one of those on at night it helps me sleep and I feel better in the morning.

Try aspercream or putting a pillow behind you while sleeping/sitting, worked for me.

Heating pad. If you don't have one, I'd suggest getting one... they're a life saver. Try getting some maternity pillows too, maybe you're sleeping in a weird position without enough cushion. (I know that's my problem, sometimes. Like last night for example. 31 weeks, woke up with extreme pain.)

Hot pads and sitting straight. Use pillows between your legs while sleeping. Ask your doctor, tell her that those stupid tylenol do not work. My ob told me that if they do not work she will give me something else but thanks God they are working.
