What are my options for fixing middle back pain?I was doing some upright rows on a machine about 2 months ago (on a high weight setting) and the next day it felt like i pulled a muscle or two in my middle back. It's been on and off, but anytime i do any rigorous exercise or lifting it hurts again. the pain is in the middle part of my back and is a constant pain rather than a pinch if i move or anything. it does feel better when i touch my toes though as it feels like i'm stretching it out. 2 part question. 1) what kind of doctor should i see and 2) what kind of therapy/exercises would they recommend?

I suggest you not see a doctor but a physical therapist. They will give you exercises that will strengthen the particular area that is problematic. A doctor will give you pain pills but little more. PTs will actually solve the problem.

see your GP first, they might want to take Xrays. Then, get a massage or see a physiotherapist :)
