HI, I had a painful frozen shoulder a couple of years ago and what cured it was certain exercises to stretch the muscle - I went to a physio. and worked hard to practice the exercises( they can be painful)

My Gp referred me but I had my work refer me as I would probably be waiting still for the GP physio to get in touch:-(

Perphaps googling exercises for Frozen shoulder will help you know which exercises to use. Just be careful if you do this- you only need to stretch so that you can go further each time you exercise.

First of all, have you had your shoulder properly assessed and diagnosed?
Adhesive capsulitis (aka frozen shoulder) is notoriously very painful, and you will probably need to see your GP about getting appropriate pain relief; non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are often helpful in addition to analgesics. Sometimes a heat pack can provide some relief. And you are aware it will resolve in about a year, regardless of any treatment you have?
Good luck :)

My husband bore the pain of his frozen shoulder for years, and tried everything: went for sessions to the physical therapist, put heat packs and painkiller pads and took muscle relaxants ... none really helped. The pain just kept coming back.

What's the only thing that helped him? You'd never guess (we didn't till we tried!) -- it was changing our pillows in bed. Our head pillows are now all Tempur pillows (I'm not a stock holder or ad agency or something -- just a very satisfied customer) and my husband has NOT had a single frozen shoulder episode since then. The effect was so total it was almost miraculous.

Only bad thing: those pillows are expensive. However, I can vouch for its absolute effectiveness. Doesn't hurt that it comes with a warranty, too! :-)

I hope that, if you try it, it works for you, too!
