Any other women with low back pain/spotting?Hey guys!!
I'm really starting to worry!!!
I'm 22 years old .... and recently after sex I pass clear mucus.. sometimes brown mucus.
I have been tested for STI's and I am not pregnant. I've only ever had one partner.
I have low back pain on/off during the month ... just after my period and then at random times ...its not a throbbing pain. It's more like period pain but in my back.
I went to hospital about 6mths ago and they took an xray ..said they ***** find anything and told me to go home. However I made my doctor book a ultrasound scan for me which I have yet to go to..
My bloods are fine. I'm really worried this is cervical/ovarian cancer.
After sex ... about half an hour later I start to get low back pain also. I'm definately NOT pregnant!
Should I be worried? What could this be and has anyone else experienced the same situation etc...
Please don't say go to doctor cos I have done that and am awaiting tests I just need to know what this could be and hear from people who have experienced these symptoms.
I really am worried :(

Your PAP smear, if you have gotten one (didnt read it in your q) would tell you if you had cervical cancer. if that was negative you are good there.
Clear lubrication after sex is normal.. the brown just means its mixed with blood. Sometimes rough sex can cause bleeding.
Obviously nothing is wrong with your back if they okayed the xray.
This just may be menstral related cramping and back ache or hormonal fluctuations that are causing you to spot. Birth control would be a good idea to get on to regulate you, it also decreases period cramping, if you are already on BC, the progesterone in the one you are taking may not be high enough and you need to increase the dose.
The ultrasound will really help, bc they can rule out if you have uterine fibroids or polycystic ovaries... which is fairly common.
The thing with ovarian cancer is that it is hard to detect until the later stages of the disease. Backaches are a symptom. If you have a family history of it that does increase the incidence for you. This is definetly more rare than the other possible things I mentioned, so dont worry.
Just some ideas to consider... hope it helps.
