Sudden lower back pain. Should I go to the med center?I bent over to pick up something for my son and when I went to stand back up I was in immediate pain. I bent at my waist...I did not bend my knees to get down. I can hardly walk or stand or sit without pain. It is in my lower back right in the middle. I doesn't really feel like a muscle, but I'm just not sure. Should I go to the med center? What would they even do for me?
I want to add that I'm 25 years old and in pretty good health. Maybe 5-10 lbs overweight at the most. I was planting flowers and painting before this happened too and my back was fine while I was doing all of that.

Put an ice pack on it and go to the med centre. They can probably do an x-ray just to make sure that there isn't anything too serious but I think that it is still important that you get it checked out. Bending over like that is exactly how you're not supposed to so just go and get it checked out. Also, as you're in so much discomfort at the med centre they should sort you out with some painkillers and exercises or something.
Hope you're feeling better soon!
