Get an attorney NOW.

did you file charges when you were assaulted? if so, or reported it to your supervisor, i would think you would qualify for workmens comp,,,, i suggest contacting an attorney,,,,, who can advise you,,,, for disability, say social security, you will need documentation from your doctor, and they most always turn down claims first, so then you would need to appeal, you can do this yourself, but its easier with legal advice, you also can appeal your workmens comp denial,,, as they also many times turn people down , also by assault, i assume you meant someone hit you, was it a co-worker or customer? either way, you can also file charges against them, for monetary recovery
