it could just be things moving and settling, normally things will change and move round just to make room for the growing baby, if she is in a lot of pain or really worried go to your drs or midwife

oh yeah thats normal........as long as it doesnt get to the point where no matter what she does or how she lays it wont go away........ usually the Dr. will tell you to take a couple of tylenol and lay on your left side for about 30min to an hour.........if that doesnt help they will ask you to go into your local hospital and get checked because it could be her kidneys then.

YEP YEP YEP YEP YEP VERY NORMAL.
I'm almost 14 weeks along and have been going through it since 4.5 weeks. The doctor said it's very normal, though not everyone will experience it, as lng as it's not excruciating or accompanied by blood.
My chiropractor said it's the reaction of the muscles to the hormones. The increasing progesterone in your system is causing the muscles to relax so as to not cause contractions and it affects your back muscles as well. Also, the abdominal cramping is growing of the uterus, thanks to hormones in the first trimester. The aches are knows as round ligament pain and it's the stretching of the uterus pulling on ligaments that causes abdominal cramping that will also radiate down into the groin (the ligaments there) and sometimes into the upper legs.
Too much bending over or lifting more than 20 pounds can aggravate the lower back and round ligaments....so can the elastic band area of underwear. Heh heh heh, I speak from experience from both these statements. Some days my minor discomfort lasts all day. The OB said it can happen and the best thing to do is rest and not over do it.
One last thing...sitting too long or standing too long will also cause the aches. Exercise helps.
My sources: Personal experience happening currently, my OB, my chirpractor, research on-line, and pregnancy books,
