kidney infection during pregnancy?I am 29 weeks pregnant. I went to the doctor almost 3 weeks ago with a uti. I was put on Macrobid and finished all of the pills on time. Over the weekend I started feeling just crummy and I don't think the bladder infection went away. I have pain and an achy feeling right above my pelvic bone in the center of my abdomen. A really soar lower back on the left and right side around my waist which I have never experienced before during this pregnancy. Obviously frequent urination since I'm in my third trimester so that symptom doesn't help. So I went to my OB yesterday and he sent my urine in for cultures and told me it would be 4 to 5 days for the results, and to watch for signs of kidney infections. Well now today I'm am just exhausted and feel like I'm catching the flu almost. I feel nauseous and soar all over. Well I'm not sure what the signs of a kidney infection are so I'm asking if this sounds like it could be the start of it. I would hate to feel this bad until friday when the results come in.

Some of the signs of kidney infection are pain in the lower back area (around the part that is called the flank), pain, fever.
It sounds like you could be starting to have a kidney infection but I would recommend calling your OB/GYN back to let them know of the symptoms you are having so that she can evaluate the situation further.
