37 Weeks Back Pain Period Like Cramping?Last night I could not sleep. A lot of back pain that would come and go. Then a couple hours later I starting having the cramping with them. I still have the cramping and back pain constantly for almost 12 hours now. They are not regular and my stomach doesn't always tighten up, but some time does. Does anyone know why or what are some ways to get rid of it?

Try drinking 2 liters of water
Try taking a hot bath
Try taking some Panadol or paracetamol
It sounds like your in latent labor - which is pre-labor (braxton hicks) with a few "real" contractions mixed in - this unfortunately could continue for a few days or a couple more weeks before progressing
No need to rush off to the hospital - I'm sure you will get many women suggesting this

I think you won't be pregnant much longer! Call your doctor and see if you need to come in and be checked.

You might be dehydrated and need to guzzle on your water today. It also sounds like right now your going to have back labor. I was same way. My chiropractor made me get on all fours and do the cat move to stretch and rock on all fours and to rotate your hips in circular motion. This can help ease the back pain and if the baby is resting on your tail bone then it can help get him/her off. Your are having signs that you might go early but you can do what your doing for another two or three weeks. You could be having some real contractions but if they stopped and not regular then you are starting the process of dilating. Its only going to keep happening unless you were dehydrated. This is how it goes till you deliver. I would rest and keep your feet up today and if it keeps happening call your doctor they might want to check you. You might notice in the next few days your mucas plug comes out in pieces or all at once. You don't have to call your doctor but that means the baby will be coming soon. Best of luck and hope you get some relief but to be honest its only keeps going from here so try to relax and get your mind off of it.
