Need opinions on back/neck/head pain and sore throat/stuffy head/ears!?I had pneumonia in April, came back in May, told me I might have asthma in the beginning of June. Needless to say I've been on and off a ton of prescriptions, few over the counter, and 2 inhalers.
About a week ago I started feeling very slight upper back pain. I then started getting a stuffy head feeling- ears feel very plugged, pop very often, throat feels sore, neck or throat feels tight/swollen. 2 nights ago the upper back pain turned extremely severe where I couldn't do anything without crying. I went to the ER. They did a chest/back xray and my pneumonia is gone and they didn't see anything wrong with my back. They gave me a painkiller and muscle relaxer and a prescription for both and discharged me. They said go to a dr. if it doesn't get better in 3-5 days. I know it hasn't been 3-5 days yet but my throat is getting worse- I looked at it with a flashlight and it is red with brighter red specs and like white pus looking stuff on the side. It doesn't kill, just hurts. My head still has a ton of pressure even with the pain meds it isn't going away. My ears are still clogged. The back pain still exists just lessened by the meds, and it extends into the back and side of my neck and the whole back into the top of my head.
I know I'm going to go back to the dr. but I want an idea of what this could be. I've been to the dr. way too many times in the last 3 months and I need them to get it right and be done with all this. Is there a chance it could be meningitis?? I could touch my chin to my neck but it hurts a bit even on the pain meds. I don't have a fever. I REALLY don't want a spinal tap. I am horrible dealing with pain and huge fear of needles. Other thoughts- herniated disk (I have lower back problems already), strept throat, sinus infection.... Any drs or nurses please give your input. Thank you.

i think if it was meningitis it would of deffo killed you by now and the headaches would be so severe.
It sounds like tonsilitis tbh, with the red specks and the pus?, and the pressure in your head and ears, sounds like a sinus infection, the pain in your back could of been trapped wind or a pinched nerve or somthing do with your back muscles.
do you get any pressure in your face? cause i had it and sinus infections can get very severe and hurt like a bitch.
the doctor will be able to diagnose you better than someone on here.
