I have a sharp pain in my right side on my back under my ribcage.?so about 3 or 4 days ago i felt sick and went to the bathroom to throw up. there was nothing in my stomach so i was just dry heaving. i stood up and felt a dull pain in my right side. the next morning i woke up and my side was in so much pain. it seems to be getting worse. its a sharp stabbing pain under my rib cage on my back. Im on the verge of going to the doctor so im just looking for opinions right now. the pain is unbearable and usually only occurs when my body is straight. i cant stand straight and i cant lie down. i have to sit up to be in the least amount of pain. even when sitting i need to have constant pressure applied to trouble area to not be in horrible pain. i am not sick i dont have a fever. no other symptoms present. i am 21.

You have a pinched muscle there causing that pain. When you sit up straight you are causing all the pressure to be on your tight muscles to cause more pain. To get rid of this pain you have to free up the muscles in your back and here's how to do that:
Back:
(do from a sitting position)
Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder, fingers over the back and the palm in the front and firmly pull down on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side.
For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.
