can i use icyhot when pregnant for back pain?I have lower back pain and just wanted to know if i can use icy hot to relieve it even tho i am pregnant. I know oral isnt good but what about this cream?

best to check with a doctor or pharmacist before using anything ..maybe read the info in the packaging too ,sometimes they say if its safe or not.

Icyhot is recommend for joints
Use rubbing achol...consider wearing flat shoes if you are not...get yourself better pillows...never lean back while walking this puts a strain on your back..

I was told no by my OBGYN, your body can absorb it, and there is an ingrediant that has not been proven in pregnacy.(sorry I am drawing a blank to the ingrediant)

i would not recommend it. i recommend taking a warm bath and relaxing the area. try to pay close attention to your posture during the day and see about getting one of those maternity belts. when you are sitting in the car or in the house, try sucking your stomach in as far as you can and releasing it. do this standing up as well and do it several times a day. lie on your left side and put a pillow between your legs at night making sure that your neck and head are well supported too. it wouldn't hurt to have a mild massage on your lower back but if it's uncomfortable then make the person stop massaging. there is a lot of weight pulling against your lower back right now and so it is important to try and strengthen those abs by doing the tummy tucks as often as you think about it and you can do pelvic tilts as well while on your hands and knees. do not excercise lying flat on your back.
