Back Pain Info:What is causing my lower back and hip pain?
What is causing my lower back and hip pain?I have had back and hip pain for years. 4 years ago it started flaring it. I can't recall a fall or injury. At first, it was so painful I couldn't even walk without my wife's assistance. It comes and goes.
Everyday I have to walk with a limp. Sometimes it's not so painful, usually I can walk but I can usually always feel some sort of pain in my right hip and lower back area. It's typically not so bothersome that I worry about it.
Occassionally, however, it flares up badly. I just slipped on some water in the bathroom, nearly fell down because of the pain and came close to hitting my head on the toilet. The pain was unbareable. I am surprised I could walk away. It took me a minute or two to be able to stand up completely and put all the pressure on my hip.
The pain is on the right side of my lower back and on the right hip and buttocks area. It hurts so bad I can't sleep when it flares up. Any exercise makes it hurt, inactivity makes it hurt. I'm damned if I do and damned if I don't Sitting awkwardly makes it hurt. I laid on the floor yesterday for about 20 minutes and could barely stand up because of the pain. I've gotten used to it by now, I just want to know what it is.
I am a 25 year old male. I am completely healthy besides this problem. I am a little overweight but nothing extraordinary. Is this a hip problem or a back problem? I have no health insurance at the moment. I can't go see a doctor without going completely pennyless. Any help or suggestions would be great.
