Chronic back pain after epidural?I had my daughter a year ago and have had back pain ever since in the EXACT spot that my epidural was put in. It's sore to the touch and if there is even a slight bit of pressure put onto it then it will cause quite a bit of pain. I talked to my doctor months ago about it, she felt my back and told me to do some exercises for my back & said she was going to send me for an x-ray but I lost my health card so never got to go to the x-ray. I plan to go back to the doctor again to discuss the pain & schedule another x-ray. Could the epidural have actually caused this? I have had back pain ever since I can remember, but never this until after having the epidural. My mother had an epidural as well & she said that she still has pain in the same spot but not like mine. Anyone else experience something like this?

I know a few women who have Chronic Back pain from an epidural and one friend-of-a-friend who has a Chronic Migraine! sadly chronic back pain IS one of the side effects of a epidural.

I think epidural could caus this pain. They do tell you in the paperwork you sign that there can be damage done to nerves along your spine and can cause you to become paralyzed?
Hopefully you will get better soon!.
Take care!

I have pain there sometimes too 15 months later, even sciatica still. My cousin's wife had to go to therapy over epidural pain...
