Does anyone know offhand of any middle back exercises I could do to relieve tightness caused by exercising.?

Does anyone know offhand of any middle back exercises I could do to relieve tightness caused by exercising.?For the last three days I've been doing Pilates. Today I did some crunches and some other "ab" exercises. I haven't exercised in a while and after working out for about a half-hour today, I felt like I was getting a little pinching in my middle back (rib area). I started trying to figure out what exercises I could do to stretch my back after the workout, to loosen it, but then I got busy doing other things. Now its starting to hurt a little more - in the rib area of my back - not bad, but I need some kind of exercise I can do to maybe relieve some of this pain, and also, that I can do tomorrow after I finish with my workout to stretch out my back. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance, to all who give useful answers - I wish I could give points to all who give me helpful answers.

It's not so much warding off stress from exercising as it is dealing with injury caused from being out of shape by not exercising more in the past. My bad.

Exercises to ward off stress from exercising. A novel concept.

Try the "cat stretch." Get on all 4's, and arch your back like a cat when it is scared. Then dip your tummy towards the floor, as the opposite of the arching. Repeat slowly.
