Does having an epidural when in labor cause back pains later on in life?I heard epidurals in the long run give you back pains later in life. I am also scared of needles so does it hurt to get the epidural?
Answer by Lulu
It can if it's not done right, but I had an epidural with absolutely no lasting issues. It hasn't effected me even a little bit since it wore off a few hours after delivery (almost 14 months ago).

There is a chance that it could give back pains later, but it worked well for me. As for needles, you'll probably be in much pain from the contractions that a needle wont even bother you. Talk to your doctor and discuss the pros and cons of an epidural. As for me, I recommend it.
