what does can a chiropractor do about upper back/lower neck pain, w/ bad posture?i've had bad posture for a very long time. for the past 6 months i've been having very bad pain in my upper back/lower neck. i looked at some websites and it said something about a deep tissue massage? has anyone experienced what i'm going through and went to a chiropractor?

I'd be weary about seeing a chiropractor for your neck. It's a very delicate region and not every chiro out there can be trusted. My mother went to a chiro about her neck, and he made matters much worse. Maybe for other parts of the body, but I've only ever heard terrible things involving chiropractors and the neck.
Just a heads up, sorry if I didn't help much.

Yes, sure have.
Make sure the Chiropractor is up with lastest techniques, deep massage is preferential to manipulation which I find only lasts a day or to, then resorts to the "bad" position whereas massaging and minor manipulation does help me for extended periods. My neck/ upper back is painful/headaches, caused by traffic accident - whiplash mainly.

You can go to a chiropractor for your upper back/lower neck pain. But you need to be sure that your chiropractor is an expert for the fields regarding your problem. A deep tissue massage can be helpful for you but it can only last for a couple of days. For you to make sure, you can ask some advices to your chiropractor regarding the deep tissue massage.
