How to help relieve back pain during pregnancy?Im 25 weeks pregnant and have really bad back and hip pains all day long. I have tried all the following:
taking a warm bath, tylenol, heating pad, but none of this helps for very long my doctor told me all them are things that will help relieve it, but he said it was only temporary relief, does anyone know any other techniques to help ease the pain that are pregnancy safe?

My lower back is always killing me lately....i use a heating pad also...that dulls the pain...then my oh so sweet fiancee..(sarcasm....he is sweet but sometimes i have to bug him to do this)....but he rubs my back which is great because he has strong hands...and i can feel him working out the knots in my back....idk if everyone gets knots in there back...but i do because i do alot of stuff while im bent over...like laundry and washin the dog and picking things up off the floor that kinda stuff....but massage does wonders...i noticed that the other night he worked on the one side of my lower back more (because it hurt more) then that side was fine and the other side hurt alot more....that side still hurts cuz i haven't asked him to rub it...but yea lol...MASSAGE =)

Ice can help. 15 minutes at a time...once an hour....and a product called biofreeze...or even Walmart brand extra strength muscle rub...many pregnant women use chiropractors and massage therapy....as long as the therapist is trained in pregnancy massage. I was on pain meds and muscle relaxants prior to conceiving due to back problems...had surgery 15 years ago....I have managed my pain with tylenol, ice packs, and a massage once a month. Best of luck!

Congratulations! Today i hit 27 weeks so we are pretty close in our pregnancies. I have bad back pain too, especially the right side right between the top and the middle of my back. It feels like a muscle cramp or something. Bad posture hurts, when i sit down it hurts my ribcage if i don't sit perfectly straight and push my boobs out. (like im going to do that in a restaruant, noone sits like that!) I cannot tell you how much yoga helps to release that back pain and the achy sore muscles. Just go to youtube and type in yoga for pregnancy. Also walking really helps relieve alot of pain, though my walks seem to be getting shorter and shorter the bigger i get. Good luck to you!
