I have a red, bubble rash-type thing on my back. The pain stretches around to my chest.?I have a red, bubbly rash-type thing on my back. At first, it itched but I was stupid and itched it constantly and now it is painful. The pain goes all the way to my chest, but the rash does not stretch across that far. I would like to know any ideas of what it could be and how I should treat it.
Thanks.
Shingles might be it... it is on one half of my body and it feels like it is under the skin which would imply it is most likely nerves...

How large is it? If it is small is there a small white ring and then red around it? Have you been in contact with anything new, maybe it is an allergic reaction? It's hard to really tell by a description it could be soo many things. You should just go to a doctor...

If it is only on one half of your body, it could be shingles. Shingles is very painful because it affects the nerves under the skin. It could take three months for it to heal and even then the nerves will still hurt. Shingles is related to having the chicken pox when you were younger. You need to see a doctor for meds.
