Is this ovarian cyst pain or lower back pain?I hurt my back few weeks ago and my new chiropractor couldn't fix it. After 2 weeks I went to my old chiropractor and she did some massage therapy and relieved a huge chunk of my pain. However i still have cramping-like pain in my lower back, shooting into my lower abdomen. It is very exhausting and uncomfortable pain. She also sent me for ultrasound of my ovaries because i have some crazy pain in my left ovary during first few days of my period (shoots into my leg etc...) and they found 3.5 cm cyst on my left ovary. I have an appointment on Monday but till then I am trying to figure out if i still need the massage therapy or if this lower back pain is maybe the cyst-related. Also my other question is - is 3.5 cm cyst a big deal or is it somewhat normal size... It just sounds big.. thank you for taking time reading

I would say that your pain is from the cyst. I have had them before and had them rupture. The last time that I had one it only measured 2 cm and that caused a lot of pain in my lower right abdomen that radiated to my back. I couldn't even pull put on/take off pants or shoes because bending would cause massive pain. My doctor told me that when the cyst measure 5 cm or more that most patients have them removed. She put me on birth control because it supposedly helps get rid of them or prevents them. I hate birth control because it screws up my body so I quit taking it 2 yrs ago. I'm experiencing the same symptoms as you right now and went to the ER last night. No cyst this time but they think one may have ruptured again. I was told to go see an ob/gyn and see if I have endometriosis. =(
Good luck with your cyst. I know how you feel.
