upper back pain between the shoulder blades?

upper back pain between the shoulder blades?I'm having some serious back pain directly between my shoulder blades and its been there 24/7 burning and aching this entire week.

It's been an off and on pain for like the last two years, but usually just hurts after hours of school and bending over to take notes and stuff in bad posture. It used to get slightly inflamed by the end of the day ever so often, but now its unbearable and it hurts all the time.

I've been taking advil and put on some icy hot, but nothing seems to stop the pulsing pain.

Any ideas? Do you think its just from hunching over my textbooks at school all day?

It definitely could be from hunching over your school work. It can also be from lugging around heavy textbooks, especially if you use a backpack that's quite heavy. This may sound silly, but try doing some exercises to work the back muscles. Swimming would be ideal to give your back a good workout without straining the musles.
