The best is to just rest like sitting on the sofa.
It's normal during pregnancy because your body gets to experience more process than usual because its nourishing two humans.

Don't take ibuprofen...My doc says no way!!! Also I would consult with a doctor before I took ANY medications.
Try the pelvic tilt: (On your hands and knee's. Alternate between arching your back like a cat and pushing your tummy towards the floor. Slowly and while breathing. Like 4 sets of 40 a day. The stretch will help and being on your hands and knees helps shift the baby away from the backbone.
Get an exercise/birthing ball. Sit on it instead of the couch. While sitting on it keep good posture. You can also do exercises with it like rotating your pelvic bone. Not only does this help prepare you for delivery it helps me relieve the backache. I also roll forward on the ball...kind of arching my back over it. This really helps stretch the sore muscles.
Warm baths/showers. Not too hot though.
Get someone to rub/massage your back/buttock area.
Buy some shoes with really really good support...even if they are ugly! I cut my back pain in half by buying some Birkenstocks.
One last thing...prenatal yoga!!!

I can't imagine why you would get lower back pain so early in your pregnancy. The first thing I would do is call my OB GYN. Make sure everything is ok. Then I would try a few different things. First try putting a pillow between your knees lying on your side with your knees bent. Also try using no pillow under your head (use your blanket under one side of your face if necessary) and if that doesn't work try lying with the pillow under your back. A heating pad may help as well. Try to keep your back as much in alignment as you can. Ask your doctor if you can visit a Chiropractor. Sometimes an adjustment is just what the doctor ordered! :)
