why would I have weakness in both upper and lower extremities after a epidural for lower back pain?I was told by my physician that it's not related to the epidural, but after i had my block done this is when I've experienced these feelings. I have spasms and weakness in my hands, legs and feet. I also have tighten around my knees and this was done 25 days ago. I'm still experiencing alot of pressure on my back and hips. I can't sit, walk or stand for long periods without having terrible pain.

Go to a different Doctor. Also consider baby blues if nothing is found physically wrong. There is no direct relationship between upper extremity weakness and epidurals. The pressure you are feeling may be normal as your posture is changing, but demand a more thorough hands on check.

It sounds like something is compressing a nerve. I agree with your physician; it may not be related to the injection. You should probably have an MRI to be sure you do not have a herniated disc or a condition known as sciatica, both can cause numbness and tingling in the extremities.
