Back labor pains or not?I have been having spasms in my back. It hurts so bad. And in between the spasms there is a dull constant pain. When I do have the spasms, I also get pain in my lower abdomen - almost like ligament pain. The pains feel like shocks going through my spine, then to my lower front. The pain gets worse every time, but are not in any particular order.... Could this be the beginning of back labor or am I just being paranoid?

It really could be! Back labor usually starts in the lower back then works its way around front and can feel like abdominal cramps or worse. I would just call the doctor. If you are due any day then they will probably want to just check and make sure. That's what they are there for. You could also just be having false labor pains or it could be the baby settling down. With such a small amount of space to move and you being ready to pick up the first sign it could be anything, but just leaving the dr a message or talking to a nurse is your best bet. Start counting out the minutes between and seeing if they start any order. If it gets worse- go to the hospital!!! They have false alarms all day but they would rather have that than one person who ignores the signs until they are having the baby at home! It happens.
Best of luck!
