my firend is complaining of lower back pain radiating from the side where the kidneys are.?she has not shown any signs of infection and states at one point that she thought she felt 'water running around her kidney area'
what is the possible cause of her pain that had lasted on and off for nearly 2 weeks?
she is however passing urine normally with no pain
sorry the pain apparently is at waist level and she did have problem passing motion.

kidneys are not located in the lower back, they are resting behind and just beneath the last rib, so if you friend is having discomfort in the lower back it is more likely a muscular issue or a bowel issue, I would suspect bowel because she says she feels "water" movement.
