What is this UPPER back pain during late pregnancy? 38 weeks!?I woke up about an hour and a half ago due to severe heartburn (imagine that!) And soon after waking, I started to get sharp stabbing pains in my upper back-- just on my right side. There is a constant dull ache in my whole right side of my back with sharp pains right under where my shoulder blade ends.
I know low backache like this happens and what all that means, but I haven't heard anything about this and it is killing me!! Any advice??

i had the exact same thing when i was pregnant both times, the heart burn was awful i had to keep getting up like every hr to have a glass of milk to help it and then go to the toilet because i was drinking to much milk, and the back pain well there wasnt a lot i could do with that my partner wasnt the back rub type so if yours is that will help otherwise have a warm bath find a comfy way of sitting and try to relax.
