Excruciating back pain. Help?I'm 16w1d. Since the very beginning of my pregnancy I have been getting back lower back aches because my uterus is slightly tilted backwards. I don't have pain all the time; it comes and goes. Today I had an OB appointment and I asked my OB if the back pain I'm experiencing now is still due to my tilted uterus or if now it's just the regular lower back pain associated with pregnancy. She said it's the latter. So, my question is, is it always this BAD? My back is KILLING me today! I find myself in tears just trying to stand up from a sitting position! It doesn't hurt when I am still, but the second I move it is excruciating! What can I do? Will it be like this for the rest of my pregnancy? Ugh. It hurts!

I don't think your that far along to start getting the back pain from carrying. You can try to sleep with a pillow between your legs. Or there are massage therapists that have a special table for pregnant women - it has a hole in it - you could try that to see it relieves some of your pain.
