thoughts on alternating Tramadol and Darvocet for severe pain?

thoughts on alternating Tramadol and Darvocet for severe pain?I have psoriatic arthritis and scleraderma and both are flaring . Darvocet helps mild back pain but I was put on both Tramadol and Ultram to be alternated every 4 hours and the pain in my hands and sacrum are still bad enough to bother me a lot. Any recommendations for better pain relief medication and what options to ask my pain management doctor about.
sorry for the typo ,I meant to say I was put on Ultram/Tramadol and Darvocet at alternating times.

Yes, you need to be on a much stronger narcotic. Something like Vicodin, Lortab, Lorcet or Oxycodone.

Or maybe - instead of taking more medications, I'd try some alternative methods, like acupressure, especially if I could do them myself, at home. In my opinion they are worth a try...
