What can be the cause of daily back pain on my spine?I had an epidural when I had my daughter 9 years ago & was told by other women that may or may not cause pain in the future. I've also recently lost weight & have been under a lot of stress lately. It's like 2 bones that are located between the middle & lower part of my spine. I KNOW! GO TO THE DR! Just curious as to what others may think it is!
Um, thanks Kaley but I didn't NEED to lose weight, I just did because of stress. This isn't a question about losing weight, I just added in that I lost weight because I'm trying to give as much info as possible as to why my spine is sore! Thanks for the info though!

Broke my back twice. Know about back pain. Get the book "Stretching" by Bob Anderson. It is what my physiatrist called it the back bible. Helped me out immensely.
Causes are disk compression, pinched nerves, poor sleeping position and the like. If you do the simple stretches in the book, it will improve your back pain very much. It is a very thorough book.

That area between mid-spine and tailbone is the most common to have backbone pain because of our lifestyles, I believe. We sit behind desks and drive for extended periods, certainly not normal daily postures 100 years ago. So the backbone suffers in that region.
Now, most doctors are all about making money, so if you go see one, chances are he/she will want to schedule and reschedule a series of x-rays and related tests, providing them income and not necessarily finding a quick result for you. Unless you know a good back doctor who you completely trust. This is just one man's opinion on doctors.
I recommend shopping for a high-end mattress. The initial expense will have long-term benefits.
Also, change-up your daily routine, focusing on your posture and amount of time sitting. If you drive a lot, it jars and stresses your backbone. So think of things you can do to minimise it. Stretches in the morning, during showers, anywhere. And swim. I know it's not easy thing to do all the right things all the time. We have to go places. Have your shocks and struts checked and replaced if needed. Drive slower, and choose straighter routes. Lots of curves and turning puts sideways stress on the backbone too.
Let's face it - our modern lifestyle is hard on the lower back. It's the 21st century. Most of us have been driving since age 16 and sitting behind desks since age 6, and all that eventually catches up to us as we get older.
So try to get the best mattresses, chairs, shocks, and eventually, doctors?
Too bad we have to think about all this stuff to save our backs, huh.
