Why do i get back pain after drinking alcohol?

Why do i get back pain after drinking alcohol?I'm 18 years old in college yet for some reason sometimes after drinking heavy amounts of vodka or mixed drinks my back gets really stiff and feels like i need to stretch it. Also, under my ribs feels tight as well, almost like i cannot take full breaths. Other times i never get this and drink more and never get any symptoms. I also get this when i run for long distances and overexert myself via exercise. Can anyone help? all ive heard after research is it could be ibs, hiatal hernia, puj obstruction, dehydration or sulphite sensitivity.

Answer by Maz
cos the alcohol is affecting your liver and kidneys. Heavy Binge drinking is not healthy at all.

The medical folks have told us that, for every extra pound we carry in our stomach, it puts 10 pounds of stress on our backs. Could you symptoms be that, when you drink, your stomach muscles relax, causing your stomach to hang out, placing pressure and stress on your back muscles?

Another tact, from the Mayo Clinic:
"What You Must Know About Alcohol and Back Pain

According to the MayoClinic.com, a moderate intake of alcohol, particularly wine, may provide health benefits to your heart, but when alcohol is consumed in excess, many serious health threats can develop. Some mild conditions linked to the excessive use of alcohol can be back pain; severe conditions such as heart attacks and other cardiovascular problems can also become a possibility."

Drinking too much can be a pain in the glass!
