Having Yoga pain issues?I started doing yoga two days ago, Yesterday my back was a bit sore but nothing too bad, I did Yoga again last night, woke up this morning with such excruciating muscle pain in my arms that it's unbelievable. It's my upper arm, but toward the back of my body. Anyways, knowing that I should be taking anti-inflammatories such as advil and naproxin, I can't because of some medication I take. What are some other options for me that will take away my pain but bring down some of the inflammation in my arms, or just reduce the pain? It hurt so bad to turn my steering wheel this morning when I was driving to the store.
Don't tell me to quit yoga, because I'm not going to, The rest of my body is feeling just fine, just not my arms.

You tightened up tendons on your muscles doing what they aren't used to doing. They can be released to get rid of the pains but are difficult to do so they should be done by one trained to do them.

Take it easy for a while. Muscle relaxers help, there is a muscle relaxer in pamprin and other menstrual drugs. Try to find one with acetaminophen. I am on a blood thinner and can't take Naproxen/Ibuprofen either, I get muscle relaxers from my Dr.
I do yoga too, and pulled my neck/shoulder muscles terribly a couple weeks ago, doing the boat/upward facing dog pose. Just don't do it if it is going to hurt you, go into child's pose while everyone else is doing it.
