How do i get rid of upper back pain?Hi,
I'm 16 years old and I have horrible back pain right behind the lower part of my left shoulder blade and its getting pretty bad. If i stand completely straight i cannot look completely down because the pain becomes unbearable. I have gone to the chiropractor for almost 2 years now but it has been off and on, and the back pain still persists. I was told my spine is pinching a nerve in my back. Any idea's on what to do to get rid of the pain?

A pinched nerve is often treated conservatively to begin. You are already using a chiropractor. Other common treatments are anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDs) and exercise. Doing back strengthening exercises will give you more stability and support and should allow you more range of motion and less pain.
Beyond conservative treatments, injections of cortisone tend to get rid of the pain, but they are not a long-term solution (they last weeks to a year usually).
Surgery is a last option, only considered if the pain has made you significantly disabled from normal activities.
