Is this back pain serious?I hurt my back swimming yesterday and the severe pain which was originally in my lower back has spread to my upper back and lower abdomen. It hurts worse with most movements below the shoulders. I read that it could possibly be a ruptured disk in my back, but I'm not sure if it is something that needs to be treated or if I'll be fine after a few days of rest. Any advice is appreciated.

Go get a xray and be still it could be very serious.Do not lift more than 10 pounds as you may be hurt worse.

You probably strained a muscle. It will take several days to get better.
